ShowcaseSunday

I will also be linking this up to Showcase Sunday over at Books, Biscuits and Tea.

Inspired by Pop Culture Junkie and the Story Siren, the aim of Showcase Sunday is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week.

I actually only have 4 books to share this week. The physical books were from Waterstones, after an awful experience in WHSmiths – when picking up two books on the buy one get one for a £1 deal and ringing them through the till, I was politely told that they weren’t in the deal despite being on the shelf with all the others. I was supposed to look for author names or something along those lines – it was very confusing and the sales assistant wasn’t particularly helpful so I wandered over to Waterstones, where the service is always good.

Physical Books:

EenyMeeny

Eeny Meeny by M.J. Arlidge

(Started this today, about 40 pages in and fantastic so far! Action and pace already building!)

Sense&Sensibility

Sense & Sensibility by Joanna Trollope
I fancied a good, girly summer read – hopefully this fits the bill!

iBooks:

Both of these books were Book of the Week on iTunes meaning I snagged them completely free.

Anna&TheFrenchKiss

Anna & The French Kiss  by Stephanie Perkins

GlassHouses

Glass Houses (#1 in the Morganville Vampire Series) by Rachel Caine

Showcase Sunday [#3]

Firstly, I am terribly sorry for the lack of posting on this blog! I have some exciting news though – I am 15 weeks pregnant! We are absolutely over the moon and super excited, even though I have been really sick. I am starting to get my energy back now, so the blog posts should become more frequent! I had actually stopped reading altogether as I never really felt up to it, fingers crossed I am out of my ‘slump’!

I haven’t done much reading this week, which I am disappointed about – work has been super busy with GCSE’s coming up, parents evenings, focus week, observations and a KS3 production. Need to get back into it, currently reading ‘The Coldest Girl in Coldtown’ by Holly Black.

I have got quite a lot to share this week!

Physical Books:

IMG_0973

The Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison. I got this series, which I read avidly as a kid, for a bargain price of £9.99 from The Works. Amazing! So excited to re-read these.

IMG_0974

Call the Midwife and Shadows of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth.  I also picked these up from The Works, for £1.99 each. I absolutely love the TV series showing here in the UK and have heard so much about these – desperate to read them!

IMG_0975

Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella and The Never List by Koethi Zan. I picked these up in Tesco’s today. I am slowly building up my collection of Sophie Kinsella novels, and knew this was available in paperback now. I have eyed up The Never List for a few months and they were in the 2 for £7 deal. Oops.

NetGalley Arcs:

cover39863-medium

Anything to have you – Paige Harbison

cover40162-medium

You Should Have Known – Jean Hanff Korelitz

Kindle eBooks:

Hotel K

Hotel K by Kathryn Bonella

Partials

So have you read any of these? Do any interest you?

Happy Reading!
