Reading Challenge 2015

So, I have decided to try another reading challenge.I know I said before that I didn’t like the pressure but I DO want to read more diversely, I think this will help me to do that. I came across this list here and thought it seemed pretty straightforward. I am going to do this as and when, fitting it in as I can.

I will post updates as and when I complete books from this list.

Have you tried this challenge before? Maybe you’d like to give it a go too?

Happy Reading!

British Books Challenge 2015

I actually decided that I wasn’t going to participate in any reading challenges this year. It takes the fun out of reading for me. When I came across this challenge, I knew I could manage it. The British Books Challenge hosted by Michelle over at Fluttering Butterflies aims to get people reading, reviewing and supporting more British authors.

It will help me to decrease my TBR (as the books can be old, new, any genre, in print or out of print), whilst discovering some new British authors. You only need to read & review one book per month too, do-able!

Here are some of the books I am going to be reading for this challenge (I haven’t made a full list, please see my page here for full details, as I will be updating regularly).

1. The Girl with all the Gifts – M. R. Carey
2. Stolen – Lucy Christopher
3. More than This – Patrick Ness
4. Wedding Night – Sophie Kinsella
5. Neverwhere – Neil Gaiman
6. Slated – Teri Terry
7. Fractured –
Teri Terry

Are you taking part in the British Books Challenge?

Happy Reading,

#Sunathon Wrap Up

I know it is a little late, but better late than never!

So, #Sunathon was held during the week of 21st – 27th July by Emma Louise. I really enjoyed taking part, so thanks to Emma Louise for organising it all. It was a huge success! I loved that it was non competitive and I was able to talk to new booklovers via Twitter (even gaining more followers).

I managed to read 2 books, finished a current read and started another.

I completed;

I also started Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas, Book 2 in the Throne of Glass series.

I am SO pleased with how much I managed to read during this week – if you are interested in the next readathon hosted by Emma, check out #fallathon here.

Did you participate? How well did you do?

Happy Reading!

I have decided to participate in the #Sunathon held over at Emma Louise’s Blog. The readathon will run from Monday 21st July until Sunday 27th July 2014. It doesn’t matter how much you read, as long as you just put aside some time for reading. Use #Sunathon to follow other bloggers/readers who are participating on Twitter.

COMPETITION: Every day during #sunathon – someone will win a book. It’s a simple follow Emma Louise on Twitter (@EmmaIsWriting) and RT the picture of the book. Use #sunathoncomp to follow them all. UK residents only!

I am really looking forward to this readathon – I actually finish work for the Summer on Tuesday 22nd July, so I should be able to read more than usual this week.

Here is my TBR – I may not get through all of these books, but one or two would still be fantastic!

I’m also 367 pages into The Book Thief so I’m aiming to finish this one up first.

Are you going to be participating? If so, what are you planning to read?

Happy Reading,

2014 TBR Pile – Reading Challenge

I have decided to join up and take part in the 2014 TBR Pile – Reading challenge being held over at Bookish.

It is a year long challenge that aims to help you reduce your TBR pile. There are many different levels to choose from. I am going for a friendly hug, which is 11-20 books, because I need to be realistic with work commitments. You can also go up levels, but you can’t come down.

I will be doing a monthly wrap up specifically for this challenge, to keep myself on track. I will give details of books read and link to any reviews posted on my blog. I know I will definitely be reading the Chronicles of Narnia as part of this challenge.

Are you doing any reading challenges?
