Confessions of a Reader

'Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.' – Mason Cooley

Stacking the Shelves [#5]

Stacking the Shelves

Stacking the Shelves is a meme held over at Tyngna’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books on your shelves, physical or virtual. A great way to share books that you have purchased online, in bookstores, borrowed from the library, received for review or purchased as e-books.

Physical Books:

Fire and Flood by Victoria Scott

Dolly by Susan Hill
(borrowed from library)

NetGalley Arcs:

Endless by Amanda Gray

Lagoon by Nnedi Okarafor

The Lost Boys by Lilian Carmine

The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski

Kindle eBooks:

Through a Tangled Wood
by Katie French, Ariele Sieling, Sarah Dalton, Marijon Braden,
Jamie Campbell, H.S Stone & Zoe Cannon
(Free on Kindle!)

Longbourn by Jo Baker
(99p on Kindle!)

TheFinalEmpireThe Final Empire – Mistborn #1 by Brandon Sanderson
(£1.49 yesterday, Kindle Daily Deal!)

So have you read any of these? Do any interest you? Are there any that I should bump up to the top of my list of to-be-read?

Happy Reading!

  1. I really want to read The Winner’s Curse. There is so much hype going around about this book, I’m dying to see what all the fuss is about. All these books look great!

    • Yes, there has been so much talk about The Winner’s Curse, I was so chuffed I received an advance copy from NetGalley for review. I hope it lives up to the hype! I’m looking forward to Endless too, the cover is just beautiful!

  2. Longbourne, Endless, and The Winner’s Curse are all on my TBR. Thanks for the heads up about Through a Tangled Wood and Longbourne, heading over to Amazon right now! Happy reading!

  3. Ok the cover for Dolly is totally creeping me out! Endless looks good, and I love her hair, sigh, I wish mine could be braided that way. Happy reading 🙂

    • Haha! It is rather creepy isn’t it, it is what made me pick it up. I then realised that the author wrote Woman in Black too, so hoping it is good. I know, I love her hair too! I will be sure to post a review of that one! 🙂

  4. I read Endless this week, and it was SO good. I really enjoyed it. Happy reading! :]

  5. I got the Winners Curse as well this week. Fire and Flood was awesome. I really enjoyed that book.

    • It does sound great, I started to read it but the ARC document I was sent to my kindle has lots of spelling and grammatical errors – someofthesentencesarewrittenlikethis – which was a little frustrating to read. I will read it though, obviously! Fire & Flood was in my local supermarket for £3.50, I couldn’t resist!

  6. Most of these are new to me but I did enjoy The Winner’s Curse. I hope you enjoy them all. Come see what I added to my stacks at Inside of a Dog and Mx. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

  7. I soo want to read the winner’s curse! I Cannot wait!
