Confessions of a Reader

'Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.' – Mason Cooley

Stacking the Shelves [#4]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme held over at Tyngna’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books on your shelves, physical or virtual. A great way to share books that you have purchased online, in bookstores, borrowed from the library, received for review or purchased as e-books.

I have got quite a lot to share this week!

Physical Books:

The Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison. I got this series, which I read avidly as a kid, for a bargain price of £9.99 from The Works. Amazing! So excited to re-read these.

Call the Midwife and Shadows of the Workhouse by Jennifer Worth.  I also picked these up from The Works, for £1.99 each. I absolutely love the TV series showing here in the UK and have heard so much about these – desperate to read them!

Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella and The Never List by Koethi Zan. I picked these up in Tesco’s today. I am slowly building up my collection of Sophie Kinsella novels, and knew this was available in paperback now. I have eyed up The Never List for a few months and they were in the 2 for £7 deal. Oops.

NetGalley Arcs:

Anything to have you – Paige Harbison

You Should Have Known – Jean Hanff Korelitz

Kindle eBooks:

Hotel K

Hotel K by Kathryn Bonella

So have you read any of these? Do any interest you?

Happy Reading!

  1. I LOVED Partials! It’s pretty intense and a bit slow in the middle, buuut it’s an absolutely breath taking and fresh dystopian! I hope you like it. 😉 My StS!

  2. Nice haul! I LOVE THE WORKS!!! You get some really amazing deals in there…. three books for £5 is too good to say no to. I hope you enjoy your books 🙂 My STS.

  3. Nice haul! I haven’t read any of these but Partials is on my TBR mountain. I really like going back and reading books I enjoyed when I was younger. I haven’t had any time for re-reading lately and miss it. Come see what I got at Inside of a Dog and Ms. Martin Teaches Media. Happy reading!

    • Thanks! Partials seems to be a good choice 🙂 I love re-reading, I really want to re-read The Hunger Games, Harry Potter and now The Confessions of Georgia Nicholson series. Too much to read, and not enough time!

  4. The Never List and Partials both look really good. Happy Reading!
Here are my newest additions .

    • They do, I’m looking forward to reading them. Unfortunately had a bit of a reading slump this week, tried so many books off my TBR list and couldn’t get into them. I am now reading Call the Midwife by Jennifer Worth – I love the TV series – and am storming through it. Fingers crossed!
